Preview from Silkie

Silkie has been hyping up the remix he's doing for DJ Shadow, and today he finally uploaded a little preview. Its wonderful, like some 80's R&B. Cheesy but wonderful!

And on a completely different tangent; Here is the....funniest(?) video I've seen this week. Who wouldn't want TWO lightsabers for christmas?!

Four Free Tunes from Truth

Earlier in the week, Truth gave away one of these tunes on soundcloud, and I figured 'eh, I'll wait until tunesday', but now I can't. All of these are rating pretty high on the bassweight scale...so make sure you turn those subs up!

Free Tunesday

Here's an awesome bootleg of Collie Budz "Come Around".

Here's the original if you've never heard it before

Also, here is 5 free tunes from Gridlok (who I've featured in a previous post). This is some more experimental stuff, compared to his usual drum and bass material. Check it out and lets see what you think!

Happy Thanksgiving...

..to everyone down south anyways. We Canadians had our thanksgiving last month, but I still like to cash in on the American one too. I wanted to deep fry a turkey again, but this time, I'm just going to sit around all day, watch football, do a bunch of essays, etc. So for now, I wish you all a safe holiday and hope you enjoy this video, and this mix!

War is hell.

Wake The Herd Volume 3 by Susie Buckmaster
This was made by a good friend of mine; its really low, really deep. Give it a listen!

Is it seriously only Tuesday?

I woke up this morning, feeling so good, thinkin it was Friday. Apparently its going to be a long week, but oh well. I have a couple of papers to finish up before the end of the month, so I figured it was going to be pretty busy.

Anywho, here are a few funny things I've found. First off, we got something as crazy as it sounds, and that is Volcano Surfing.

While they Volcano isn't active...these people are still zoomin down! 40 km per hour doesn't seem too fast when you're in a car or on a motorcycle, but when you're just on a sled its extreme.

Then there was also this article I found, with the worst tip you've ever seen at a restaurant. As a bartender, I would kill this dude.

And before I go, my friend's label, Tycho Records, has released a free compilation on soundcloud. Enjoy!

More Music Today

Ahoy there folks. Since today is going to be a "cram for midterm" day, I thought I'd just post a few more tunes today. Plus I have to go to the grocery store, and this post is preventing me from doing so (I just love you all that much).

To start off, we've got Slamagotchi, from Australia. As you know, Australians are weird (and I only say this to shock my Australian readers...I know you're there!), and his music is just as such. Its really left wing, really experimental, but I loves it.
Home Is The Campfire I Built In Your Heart by Slamagotchi

As weird as you Aussies are, you put out some good stuff...and I'm not just talking about Paul Hogan!

Next up, from the UK, we've got a personal favorite: Hackman. I don't even really know how to categorize this...I guess its kind of funky house, but so relaxing? You should just listen and determine for yourself.

Back over to North America, we have some hip hop from Dicyfer Da Wize. Once again, a very relaxing track. Super legit though; on some 8 bit vibes too.
Too Much To Ask For (Instrumental 45) by Dicyfer Da Wize

Another American hip hop track, coming from DesMo. Do you like scratching? Do you like soulful samples? Then you'll like this. This track is swag times 1000.
Serious - DesMo by Desmond "DesMo" Edwards

Last but not least, the latest hip hop one from myself (you didn't even know I produced, did you?). Lemme know what you think!
Wonder (full) by Kid Shuffle

Anywho, back to cramming for Urban Studies. Have a good weekend all(and don't forget, get on that twitter with us! @kidshuffleLFT)!

New Tunes For Ya!

A while back I was talking about getting a youtube account together and putting up song previews and all that...and I've finally gotten it (somewhat together).

Heres a relaxing, liquid one from Subscape. It sounds a lot like another track he's done...but fuck it, I still like it.

And here is a crazy one from Mz Bratt and Royal T. You'll see what I mean.

And on the soundcloud tip; ever wanted to do the polka to electronic music? You have now (and I know this isn't actually polka, but its close enough damnit!)

Lowki - THE WAY SHIT GOES by KING BRACKET

And here's a nice, smooth house remix of Burial's 'Fostercare' from Simbad (free download as well!). Seriously, this is awesome.

And lastly, here is a preview of the first vinyl release from Tycho Records. Tycho was started by a good friend of mine named Treblesum (or as I know him, Kyle). He's done a lot for my cities dubstep/dnb/glitch hop scene, and good to see his label is finally taking off and getting enough money, and good artists to do vinyl releases. Check it!

Also, I've noticed we're almost at the 100 followers milestone, excellent!
